I’m trying to adopt a more minimalist look into my wardrobe, so I decided to just wear a plain white V-neck with denim shorts today. Contrary to popular belief, I do wear jeans. I also have a soft spot for simple white tees and ripped denim shorts, so the above outfit is actually probably one of my favorite outfits. It is not eccentric and quite a common ensemble, but I love it because it’s so effortlessly cool and timeless. The perfect outfit for brunch and beach strolls.

Today was my last hangout with my best friends before heading back to school. We ate delicious organic food for brunch, snapped some disposable pics, chilled at our favorite café, and walked along the beach. The beach was absolutely gorgeous—perfectly sunny with breathtakingly blue water. I really don’t know what I’m going to do without the sand and the sea back at school, but I’m glad I got a chance to soak it all in before my early departure this Sunday. We took a bunch of friendship photos down by the shore, which is why these photos are more Facebook album rather than my typical blog photos, but I felt the need to include it in this post because these are some of my favorite human beings and I am going to miss them so much. 

Before I close this post, I feel inclined to include some of the silly things my friend Michelle says. Here are just a couple of her hilarious quips from this afternoon: 

1) When I grow up, I want to be a gardener. You know, live sustainably. 

2) He doesn't do text and that is not ok. I need a guy who keeps up with me on a daily basis.

3) I want to get a dog so I can meet people. 

Also, quick question, which none of y'all can actually answer unless you email me, but I'm gonna throw this out here anyways. How does one acquire a weird dude? I have an affinity for the incredibly strange, quirky if you will, but I never seem to attract that type of man. All I want is a weird guy, like the guy from Submarine, Oliver Tate, but I only get hit on by bros AKA frat rats. This completely befuddles me because I ain't no sorority chick and perceive myself to be a very weird individual, so I don't understand why I'm not with an equally weird individual.

Oh and since I'm going back to a place that often gets the two confused. There IS a difference between being a Californian and being a hipster. In fact, there is a difference between not being preppy and being a hipster.
