Outfit: This ensemble reminds me of Clueless, hence the title. As I've mentioned several times already, plaid is a huge trend this season, so I've wanted plaid pants and a plaid A-line midi skirt since September. Haven't found the skirt yet, but Forever 21 had these pants for less than 20 bucks, so I just had to buy them. Because a cold front has taken over my college campus, I paired the plaid bottoms with a chunky cream sweater. I really love oversized anything, but especially oversized sweaters because when I wear them I feel like I'm snuggled up in a warm knit blanket. The sleeves of this sweater are poncho-esque, which I totally dig. For shoes, I threw on my black knee-length boots to keep my feet warm. Knee-length boots also make your legs look longer, which is always a plus.
Life: I watched Bridget Jones's Diary recently and I have to admit, I thought Daniel, evil womanizer, was hotter than Mark, proper gentleman. This led me to wonder why the whole attraction to 'bad boys' is a thing in this world. Now let's not feign ignorance and pretend it's not a thing because it totally is. I can think of several friends of the female gender that obsess over the dude who doesn't text them back and/or leaves them in the club, even though they have a nice dude texting back promptly who is willing to chill and watch The Notebook with them. There is something disconcerting about choosing the bad boy over the nice guy. It's as if we, women, subconsciously allow ourselves to take the submissive weaker role whilst the man assumes the dominant powerful role in the relationship. By waiting for that text message, we give the man full control. This is not ok. Unless, of course, you are looking for a non-relationship. If you want a commitment-phobe dude, then I say go for it. Just remember: play the player, not the game. And never get your heart involved.
