Shooting these outdoor snaps was very....cold. Pretty sure both Ronnie's and my hands froze from attempting to take photos outside. We ended up running back to my dorm and snapping shots in my laundry room because the freezing temperatures conquered our endurance. Some creatures are not meant to live in certain habitats, and I've decided I'm just not meant to reside in snowy tundra and sub-zero temperatures. #CaliforniaDreaming
Anyways, Charlotte Russe sent me the navy parka and leggings, so I decided to SHOCK all my readers and dress in a (relatively) normal style. Believe it or not, I am capable of wearing non-outrageous clothes. Every now and then, I have my white T-shirt and jeans days because it's comfortable and eternally stylish. Therefore, I decided to play off that combo by teaming the parka with my favorite white V-neck from Urban Outfitters. Because I couldn't resist adding a pinch of quirky, I slipped into the black leggings from Charlotte Russe so I could rock my super cool Batman socks. To continue the layered look, I threw on my combat boots. Since I'm obsessed with hats, I warmed my ears with my feminist Ain't No Wifey beanie, and then accessorized with my thrifted love/hate ring, vintage watch, and a vampy lip. I've been searching for a dark red, almost black, lipstick for a while because I'm turning goth (jk) and I finally found one at Sephora for only $5!! #win
I'm obsessed with the silver studs along the collar and pockets of this parka. It also hangs loosely in a chic urban fashion, which makes you look hip and feel comfortable. I definitely recommend purchasing this garment if you're into looking effortlessly stylish.
On an entirely separate note, I'm such a derpy 'fashion blogger'. All the other fbloggers are snapping these model-esque photos and then there's me, sticking my tongue out (TEAM MILEY) and attempting to wink etc etc. But it is an accurate representation of my personality so #whatever hehe.
On another separate note, NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!! I'm super bummed that I'm not in NYC, swirling in chocolate walls and snowy runways, but Instagram is keeping me as updated as possible, so let's recap some of my #NYFW faves:
1) SPACE SUITS at the Alexander Wang show
2) Capes on capes on capes!
3) Ribbon braids
4) Lucky Mag Editor-in-Chief, Eva Chen, calling herself a Purple People Eater in her fluffy purple coat
5) Kanye lyric bags at Karen Walker #Yeezus
6) Sweaters tied around hips #90s
7) Jackets on jackets (aka how I get through winter)
8) COLORED HAIR #YAAASSSS
9) Iris Apfel at Ralph Rucci
10) Neon accents (time to bring out my big neon bow)
Now time for some music! Whilst driving in Hunter's car this weekend, searching for abandoned buildings, he was playing these chill tunes and I was like, "Omg who is this?!" And he was like, "Smith Westerns, they went to my school." I searched them up on Spotify after our abandoned building photo adventure and they are amazing and hottie totties. Listen.
xx
When you are enthusiastic about what you do, you feel this positive energy. It's very simple. Keep growing!!! Great job, Anna
