Shuffled into studio to snap shots of Ronnie's face for a photography class assignment, so I figured I'd take pics for my blog as well. I decided to take advantage of an indoor shoot by sporting this floral maxi dress. I'm not a huge fan of shooting in studio, but it does have the benefit of eliminating environmental distractions. As a style blogger, this is a great effect because it ensures that my clothes get all the attention. To embellish my spring dress, I threw on a maroon cardigan for a pop of color and a gray beanie for some urban edge. To add to the boho feel, I slipped on a bunch of bracelets. Then, I kicked off my loafers so I could skip and dance around to Purity Ring in free spirited glory. 

In the life department, being a blonde has been quite the peachy ride thus far. In Chicago, I got a lot of free stuff for being a blonde, so I guess blondes do have more fun lol. I also recently discovered that I'm going to be a TEEN VOGUE MODEL! I did this open casting call a while back just because 'why not' and this week I got an email from Teen Vogue saying that I got the part. So in two weeks I'm heading back to Chicago to model at a Teen Vogue event! The event is festival themed and I'm going to model clothes on the runway with two other girls. I'm super stoked because the boho, free spirit look is one of my favorite styles. The best part, however, is the fact that I get to KEEP THE CLOTHES. Today I got a call from Teen Vogue and they told me that after the event I can go to the Closet and pick out clothes to keep. Like WUT. That is literally (read in Chris Traeger voice) the greatest thing ever!! Teen Vogue is literally da best!!! 

Ok, I'll stop my obnoxious fangirling now. On a more serious note, I was talking to a friend the other day and she really likes this dude but we're graduating in a couple months so any relationship attempts would be pretty futile, which sucks but is so c'est la vie. Life certainly has an affinity for shooting obstacles of circumstance at budding affection and it's not funny but what can you do. Might as well just soak in all the little moments and listen to sappy love songs because emotional masochism is sometimes cathartic.
