HKH

I've been writing a lot of articles about New York Fashion Week for work and I noticed that both stripes and plaid are huge trends on the runway this season, so I decided to try my hand at a little pattern play by combining a striped top with a plaid skirt. I digged the clash and was gonna embellish with knee-high socks and a 1920's hat, but it was 80-something degrees today with 323912313% humidity (if there is one thing I hate in this world it is humidity) so I chose to just wear creepers instead (sneakers were also pops on the NYFW runways).

Anyways, today was one of those mer-I-need-to-cheer-up days, so Carrie, her sister Caylee, and I met up at our hometown beach and snapped some silly best friend and sister photos. Our railroad track snaps were accompanied with screams of "I DON'T WANNA DIE! MARK WOULD BE SO MAD IF THIS IS HOW I DIED! I WOULD BE SO MAD IF THIS IS HOW I DIED!" from Carrie and Caylee, but everything turned out alright. We heard the train approaching from a couple miles away and Carrie + Caylee ran down the hill screaming whilst I snapchatted them and giggled. Then we shot some beach pics and melted in the humidity.

Which brings me to these very important questions:

WHY IS IT SO HUMID IN SEPTEMBER!? WHY IS IT EVEN HUMID IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA?!

At least I'm moving to London in a few weeks so I won't have to deal with this nasty humidity much longer. I mean, London better not be humid....

That being said, I still think my hometown is perfect/paradise, so I'm gonna miss it terribly. No matter where I go, this place will always have a piece of my heart.
